twenty-four years of youeleven months of us

janu,

You turn twenty-four today. I have been here for eleven months of that, which is not very much of it, and is the best eleven months I have had.

Almost none of the photos on this page are mine. You were already all of this in every one of them, years before I turned up. I used to find that strange to think about. Now I think it is the best thing about you: none of it was for my benefit, and I still got to end up here.

So this one is just to say I noticed. All of it, the parts I was there for and the parts I missed.

I keep counting things. Twenty-four years of you. Eleven months of us. I am praying the next thing I get to count is our years, and that we spend them married. Happy birthday, janu.

always, chirag
